Our final session on adaptation took place on Saturday 15th June. This Panel focused on the need to adapt our transport system to the risks posed by climate change. The Panel heard from;
Dr Rachel Fisher - University of Birmingham School of Engineering presented on the different types of adaptation measures the region could adopt to make our transport system resilient to extreme weather.
David Harris - Transport Strategy and Place Manager at Transport for West Midlands, presented on the current funding picture and asked the Panel to decide where they think funding should adaptation should be taken from in the current budget.
