How Thrive at Work has impacted the organisation: The implementation of Thrive gave the Council’s wellbeing agenda focus and prevented the good work already done from drifting. Board-level engagement from the Chief Executive, Nick Page, down has completely removed any stigma around mental health within the workplace. The four Thrive themes at Bronze Level gave the organisation the framework they needed to build a wellbeing strategy that helped them to move forward in tangible steps. As a direct result, the Wellbeing Board at Solihull MBC was revised to align itself with the Thrive framework and values. This is now reflected in the way the council interacts and chooses contractors for work across their borough. They believe the holistic Thrive framework will have a positive impact on their staff, their residents, and their service delivery. In achieving accreditation, Solihull MBC has become the benchmark for large organisations who desire to improve the wellbeing of their workforce.
