What They Do: Acocks Green Primary School is a thriving, happy, multicultural primary school situated in the heart of Acocks Green village.

How Thrive at Work has impacted the organisation: Staff enjoy being at school and this is reflected by a near 100% attendance – a rare occurrence in the education sector. Staff are also very open to talk about their wellbeing and come forward and ask when they need support. The school has promoted physical activity by marking out a midday mile course in the playground, this is used by staff, pupils and even parents have been known to walk the course. A Yoga Bugs group was also set up for staff and pupils. Speakers including a Buddhist Monk have been invited into the school to talk to staff on various subjects, such as wellbeing and mindfulness. Sessions have also been delivered on mental health, resilience, and wellbeing.
