Youth unemployment is more than double the national average in some areas of the West Midlands, such as Wolverhampton, Walsall, and Birmingham, leading to a cycle of economic stagnation that impacts us all.

When young people are unable to find work, it not only affects their personal and professional development but also deprives businesses of fresh talent and innovative ideas.

Our region needs systematic change and an offer to our young people that supports their development in all areas of their lives.

It needs collaboration to make real change and that is why the Mayor of the West Midlands is inviting organisations of any size or sector, to contribute to a solution to make the West Midlands the region that gives young people the best possible start in working life.
