Visitors to Birmingham were treated to 100 days of Creativity Summer 2024 followed by the whole region getting involved with West Midlands Creativity Week.

What is Creativity Week

West Midlands Creativity Week is about sharing the richness of our young and diverse region through a weeklong celebration.

The most recent event took place from Friday 4 October to Friday 11 October 2024, where we shined a spotlight on the arts and creative industries, entrepreneurs and talent of our region.

Culture & Creative Ecologies Symposium

As part of Creativity Week, West Midlands Combined Authority held its Culture & Creative Ecologies Symposium on Wednesday 9 October 2024, at Black Country Living Museum, Dudley.

This day consisted of panel discussions, sharing of best practice and planning for the future as we explore the extraordinary range of creative skills and talent we have in the region. Richard Parker, Mayor of the West Midlands, set out his vision for Culture & Creative Industries alongside creative leaders and national partners to celebrate the West Midlands as a centre for creativity, storytelling and enterprise.
