Community Environment Fund
The Community Environment Fund provided close to £1m of grant funding to communities delivering initiatives to improve the environment and people's lives. The Community Environment Fund launched in late October 2023, with projects being delivered by the end of March 2025.
WMCA funded twenty-one small grants of up to £25,000 and six large grants of up to £100,000.
The themes of the Community Environment Fund were natural environment, access to green space, climate adaptation, circular economy, and environment awareness. This built on the previous WMCA Community Green Grants programme that provided £725,000 to communities for delivering better access to green space.
