The West Midlands Combined Authority (WMCA) has launched phase one of its new website. The site is designed to share information about the emerging combined authority, share progress about the proposed devolution deal with government and highlight priorities for the coming year.
The website can be found at www.westmidlandscombinedauthority.org.uk and was developed by Centro, who are a key partner in the developing combined authority.
Councillor Bob Sleigh, Chair of the WMCA's Shadow Board, said:
As soon as we started discussions about working together as a potential combined authority there has been a great deal of interest from individuals, businesses and community organisations. It is important therefore that we try and share information as effectively and efficiently as possible and having a functional and responsive website is key to that.
We launched phase one of the new site just before Christmas and usage has already increased. The feedback forms are being used, our social media is integrated on to the front page and it is accessible from a range of different devices. Phase two will see us develop more content and further social media. We hope it will prove successful as we tell our exciting story about the country's biggest devolution deal to date and the issues that really matter to the people and businesses of the West Midlands; growth, jobs, skills, transport and homes
