Good Gym in Coventry
Good Gyms is a national programme that teams up joggers with elderly and vulnerable people in local communities.
GoodGyms encourage joggers to use their workout to support elderly residents as part of their fitness regime. The group do physical tasks for community organisations and to support isolated older people with social visits and one-off tasks they can't do on their own. This isn’t just a great way to get fit, it also allows you to meet new people and give back to society.
The West Midlands Combined Authority have supported the expansion of the ‘GoodGym’ concept to Solihull, Birmingham and Coventry with more and more joggers getting fit and helping more and more people. So far in Coventry, there have been 709 Good Deeds, 7 Coach Runs and 1 Mission Run.
GoodGym in Coventry is up and running. From Holbrooks to Whitley, the group are always welcoming new runners. You can find out more here.
