Dudley Interchange
The new Dudley Interchange will allow passengers to switch seamlessly between buses, Sprint rapid transit vehicles and West Midlands Metro trams operating on the forthcoming Wednesbury to Brierley Hill extension.
The interchange will enable a better-connected Dudley to the rest of the West Midlands – opening up more job, training and leisure opportunities for local people.
The development of this interchange will act as a major step forward in terms of improvements in local transport and connectivity for Dudley and for the general regeneration in the town centre.
Delivering the Dudley Interchange will be part of a wider investments in road, rail bus, tram and cycling infrastructure by Transport for West Midlands. Other funds will come from a combination of sources including the Black Country Local Enterprise Partnership (BCLEP) and Dudley Council.
Subject to planning permission, the new Interchange could be completed by 2022 - ready for the scheduled opening of the West Midlands Metro extension in 2023.
