Connecting Communities Pilot - Employment Support in Birmingham
The Connecting Communities programme is about connecting local communities to local jobs and opportunities. Support is available to help people find and secure the right job, apprenticeship or traineeship. For those already in work, the programme provides help and advice to progress in their career.
The programme is part of the first Skills Deal – an agreement that allows for better skills planning and local strategy, better employment support and local control of public funding for adult skills training. This is a pilot project being delivered across nine communities within the WMCA area.
Within Birmingham support is available to anybody that is 16 years and older and is a resident in Shard End or Washwood Heath.
